Chiropractor in Kentwood : Dr. Randy Wilcox
My love for our work has only grown through 25+ years in practice...
Thanks for visiting our website and allowing us to share a bit about our lives with you.

Although my wife Marge is not a Chiropractor, she has worked along side with me, in one capacity or another since the very beginning, so this bio is about ‘us’ and our passion for Chiropractic and natural living. We both found our excitement for the chiropractic live-style during my schooling at Life Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia and that love for our work has only grown through 25+ years in practice.
Lifelong Resident of Wyoming, MI
I have been a lifelong resident of Wyoming, MI, having graduated from Wyoming Park High School in 1973. While in high school I played a lot of basketball that resulted in several sprained ankles. My mom had heard about a podiatrist who "manipulated" the ankle and foot instead of the more traditional treatment of crutches and rest. This made sense to me and inspired me to pursue a podiatric degree. During my senior year at Grand Valley State College, however, something happened that would change my focus.
The pursuit of my chiropractic degree
The pursuit of my chiropractic degree began after my brother took me to a seminar to have me give consideration to his new field of chiropractic instead of podiatry, which was my goal at the time. That weekend changed my life!
The science and philosophy of Chiropractic blew me away and before long I was in school at Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA, learning about the body and it’s amazing capabilities to heal itself.
Marge and I had our first child during this time and raised her, and later our son, with the principals of health that we came to believe in.
My Philosophy
Early on we faced much skepticism and negativity, but acceptance for what we do has improved to the point that now many medical doctors refer to us, which was unheard of back then. We now are often the first choice for those suffering with problems associated with the spine.
We believe that the human body is self-healing and innately wise (thanks to its perfect Creator), and therefore, for instance, when our kids fevered, we allowed the body to fever, knowing that there was a reason it was happening; typically to kill a viral or bacterial organism. The prevailing medical response was and still is in most cases to medicate the fever, thus nullifying the body’s natural response to the problem.
We take a multifaceted approach to health. It consists of the following:
- When possible, non-medicated vaginal child bearing
- Proper nutrition, beginning with breastfeeding
- Chiropractic spinal adjustments to maintain a healthy nervous system
- Regular exercise
- Stress reducers
- Keeping focused on the ‘positives’ of life instead of the ‘negatives’.
- Everything in moderation.
- Fun
Above all, we have a deep faith in God and an appreciation for all of our blessings. To enjoy what we do and desire to share it is something great, indeed!
The focus of my practice has always been on helping people overcome their pain, immobility and loss of function naturally through chiropractic treatment. During this process I hope to impart to my patients the over-all healing benefits of the chiropractic adjustment, which you can learn more about by accessing links on my homepage.
A Chiropractic Family
Chiropractic has always been much more than just a job, it's been a way of life. My wife Marge and I have been married for 31 years and have raised our family with the premise that the human body is self-healing and innately wise (thanks to the Creator who created it). Therefore we deferred to its healing potential by letting the body exhibit and withstand symptoms when they occurred. For instance, when our kids had a fever, we let the body fever, knowing that it was there for a reason, typically to kill a bacteria or virus. This went against the prevailing medical practice of taking a pill to get rid of a symptom. Our approach to health is multifaceted. It consists of proper nutrition, starting with breastfeeding and moderation in one's diet, exercise, low stress, positive thinking, and chiropractic spinal adjustments to maintain a healthy nervous system.
My wife Marge, besides raising our two children has always been involved in the practice and enjoys getting to know our patients. She believes passionately in living naturally and healthy and is a great partner to me in all ways. Our daughter Amy is a chiropractor, wife to Cory, and mother to our grandchildren, Cameron and Jenna. She has a practice in our office and you can read her bio below. Our son Joe is married to Jamie and is a builder by trade.
My life when not working is filled with activities involving family and friends, golf (and simulated golf during winter), fishing, travel and home/cottage projects. I am blessed in that I love what I do and have never grown tired of doing it!
We would love to meet you and discuss any concerns or questions you may have, and then help you get on the track to healthy living! Give our office call or email me by using the link below and let's arrange a time to explore your options.
